Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Web Developer to design a responsive, user-friendly WordPress website. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building the website from the ground up, ensuring that it is fully responsive, optimized for various devices, and aligns with our brand’s aesthetic and functionality requirements. This is a one-time project with the potential for future collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop a fully responsive WordPress website tailored to meet our specific needs and goals.
Customize an existing WordPress theme (or create a custom theme if necessary) to suit the brand identity and content requirements.
Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and optimized for different screen sizes and devices.
Integrate necessary plugins for added functionality (e.g., SEO tools, contact forms, social media integration).
Optimize the website for speed, performance, and security.
Ensure the website follows best practices for SEO and includes basic on-page SEO setup.
Provide guidance on website maintenance and updates after the website is launched.
Collaborate with the client/team to gather requirements, review feedback, and iterate on design and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve any bugs or issues related to the website during development and after launch.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with WordPress website design and development.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Expertise in creating responsive layouts using CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap or custom CSS).
Experience with popular WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to implement them on a WordPress website.
Familiarity with website performance optimization tools and techniques.
Experience integrating third-party plugins and APIs.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with e-commerce websites (WooCommerce).
Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Familiarity with website security best practices.
