Job Description

This position is not eligible for remote work. Selected candidate will be required to report to work at the OKC Central Office.

This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship. Selected candidate must already be eligible to work within the US without sponsorship.

Overview

Web developers work in a team environment developing state of the art and industry leading web applications for OTRD websites (TravelOK.com, discover-oklahoma.com, OklahomaToday.com, OTRD.TravelOK.com). The web development team also manages the hosting, security, databases, API integrations, and maintenance of the sites. This position will also need to physically report to the central office in Oklahoma City on a regular basis.

Examples Of Work Performed
• Continually develop new functionality and improvements involving site speed, usability, and organic rankings.
• Maintains performance of dynamic, data intensive, and rich media intensive web sites
• Manages cross-browser compatibility while utilizing responsive design techniques
• Creates reports upon request from a variety of sources
• Review other developer's code for issues while providing feedback for best practices and performance
• On-call support in the event of site issues or failure
• On occasion create icons, graphics, and basic image manipulation
• Work with third party businesses to help OTRD utilize their products

Skills Required
• Strong OOP Programming Language Knowledge/Experience
• Strong HTML5 and CSS3 Knowledge/Experience
• Intermediate MySQL Knowledge/Experience
• Intermediate JavaScript Knowledge/Experience
• Basic Git Knowledge/Experience
• Basic SASS or equivalent CSS pre-processor Knowledge/Experience
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle work-related stress, manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical co-workers
• Work with and integrate third party APIs

Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR an equivalent combination of education and job-related work experience
