Job Description
I’m looking for a reliable and skilled WordPress developer to help me manage and optimize HVAC and local business client websites. This is a long-term opportunity for the right person, starting with one client but quickly expanding to multiple clients if you're the right fit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, edit, and optimize WordPress websites (first one will be using WPBakery).
- Ensure fast load speeds, proper caching, and optimize for Core Web Vitals.
- Implement schema markup (LocalBusiness, Service, Review) for HVAC businesses.
- Upload and format blog posts, ensuring on-page SEO best practices (Header tags, alt text, metadata).
- Perform WordPress site audits (security, broken links, updates, and general health checks).
- Manage security updates, backups, and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Recommend and configure essential plugins (SEO, performance, security, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent English communication skills (we will have video/voice calls)
ordPress Expert (at least 2+ years of experience).
- Strong experience with WPBakery (page builder skills are critical).
- Familiarity with schema markup (manual JSON-LD or plugin-based solutions).
- Knowledge of on-page SEO best practices (URL structure, metadata, internal linking).
- Ability to optimize for speed, security, and mobile performance.
- Experience managing WordPress security (backups, malware protection, site audits).
Nice To Have (not required):
- Experience working with HVAC or local business websites.
- Familiarity with Bluehost hosting (cPanel, backups, security).
- Basic knowledge of Google Search Console and troubleshooting site errors.
