Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient WordPress Developer to join our IT & Marketing Department. Reporting to our Head of IT & Marketing, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining multiple WordPress websites across our brands. This includes building custom plugins, ensuring website security, and focusing on UI/UX design and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in identifying and fixing malware and ensuring the ongoing security of our websites. Strong knowledge of PHP, UI/UX, and website optimization techniques is essential.

As we expand our digital presence, we are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to help us build new websites, develop custom plugins, and integrate advanced tools to support our growing business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Custom Plugin Development: Develop and customize WordPress plugins (e.g., product designer tools, payment gateways, and other integrations).
• Website Rebuild & Development: Design, develop, and optimize WordPress websites to align with our brand goals.
• UI/UX Design: Create user-friendly, visually appealing websites that offer a seamless experience for our customers.
• Website Speed & Optimization: Optimize websites for speed and performance, including caching and database optimizations.
• Payment Integration: Develop and customize payment gateways and eCommerce features for seamless transactions.
• Database Optimization: Improve database structures and performance, ensuring scalability for product data and transactions.
• Malware Identification & Removal: Identify, fix, and secure websites from malware, security breaches, and vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve technical issues and bugs promptly.

Required Skills:
• Strong PHP knowledge for custom plugin and theme development.
• Expertise in UI/UX design to ensure aesthetically pleasing and functional websites.
• Experience in database optimization for fast query performance and scalability.
• Advanced knowledge of website speed optimization (e.g., caching, image optimization, script minimization).
• Proven ability in malware removal and website security to protect against future attacks.
• Experience with custom plugin and payment gateway development in an eCommerce environment (WooCommerce, etc.).
• Proficient with WordPress themes and page builders like Elementor and WPBakery.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues effectively.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Basic front-end skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for minor front-end adjustments.
• Experience with eCommerce systems beyond WooCommerce.
• Knowledge of security and backup best practices, including the implementation of secure development practices, backups, and monitoring tools.
