Responsibilities

• Seeking an experienced WordPress developer to lead our website content updates and maintenance initiatives
• This position begins as a short-term project (estimated 2-3 months) with potential transition to an annual retainer agreement for ongoing maintenance and updates
• Comprehensive content audit of existing website
• Update and optimize page layouts and content structures
• Implement SEO best practices across all pages
• Create and modify custom post types and taxonomies as needed
• Set up and maintain content workflows for future updates
• Technical Development
• Review and optimize current WordPress theme
• Enhance website performance and loading speeds
• Implement responsive design improvements
• Configure and optimize caching solutions
• Manage database optimization and cleanup
• Handle WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates
• Implement security best practices and regular backups
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Documentation & Training
• Create documentation for content management processes
• Provide basic training for internal team members
• Document technical specifications and configurations

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with WordPress development
