WordPress Developer with UI/UX Expertise

Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced WordPress developer to help build a responsive, user-friendly website for our company. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in both design (UI/UX) and development (front-end and back-end), with a solid understanding of SEO best practices, image optimsation, and security protocols.
This is a one-off project that is already at the mid-development stage. However, if the final outcome meets expectations, there is potential for ongoing or future projects.
Key Responsibilities:
UI/UX Design:
Collaborate with our team to create mockups that align with our brand and business goals. Design responsive page layouts
Front-End Development:
Convert approved mockups into fully functional web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Build from Scratch or integrate page builder tools (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, or other recommended builders) in an efficient and clean manner.
WordPress Back-End Development:
Implement Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for flexible content management.
Work with various plugins (e.g., Yoast SEO, security plugins, caching plugins) to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
Customize themes and templates based on project requirements.
Performance & SEO Optimization:
Optimize images and code to ensure fast page load times.
Implement on-page SEO strategies, including proper metadata, schema markup, and keyword utilization using Yoast SEO or similar tools.
Requirements & Skills:
Proven experience developing WordPress sites (portfolio or examples of past work required).
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to create design mockups.
Experience with page builders such as WPBakery, Elementor, or similar.
Expertise with WordPress back-end, including theme and plugin customisation.
Familiarity with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) for custom data fields.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience using Yoast SEO or similar tools.
Ability to optimise site performance (page load speed, image compression, caching, etc.).
Understanding of WordPress security and how to mitigate common vulnerabilities.
Experience working with custom post types and taxonomies.
Project Timeline & Budget:
Timeline: We expect the project to be completed within 2 months from the start date.
Budget: This is open for discussion based on experience and project scope. Please provide your rate on an hourly basis.
