.se has been moved to memoriagravsteiner.no/, and translation and wording simplifications have almost been completed. Now, the final tasks for a consolidated and optimized version of the site need to be executed. Main goal is to have a live working version, and iterate with more improvements after this first job.
Current ask:
This includes finalizing full translation, improving website speed, removing outdated Swedish connections, setting up an email order system, optimizing mobile responsiveness, SEO tuning, and ensuring all contact and inquiry functions work correctly. The goal is to have a fast, functional, and business-ready version launched or iterated on live actually by this Friday at 15:00 (CET). NB! This is first a less than 24 h job. And after this, a nice calm monthly fix frequency if you want to.
Prioritized Task List for Website Consolidation (Deadline: Friday 15:00)
• Fully translate all Swedish text to Norwegian
Identify and replace any remaining Swedish text. Search database, hardcoded theme files, and plugin settings for untranslated content. Verify URLs, slugs, and metadata are correctly localized.
• Disconnect Swedish recipient and switch to email order system
Ensure all order confirmation emails go to the correct Norwegian recipient. Remove any Swedish payment integrations or redirections. Test email orders from form submission.
• Fix website speed (server-side and WordPress-side optimization)
Configure server-side caching (e.g., Redis, OPcache, or LiteSpeed). Install and configure a WordPress caching plugin (e.g., WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache). Optimize database by removing unnecessary post revisions, transients, and clutter. Minify and combine CSS, JavaScript, and enable lazy loading of images. Compress and optimize all images without losing quality.
• Update meta descriptions, SEO tags, and structured data
Implement new meta descriptions optimized for Norwegian search intent. Ensure title tags are structured with relevant keywords. Add missing alt-text for images. Implement structured data markup for gravestones (schema.org).
• Improve mobile responsiveness and usability
Test site layout on multiple devices and ensure smooth navigation. Fix overlapping elements, broken text, or buttons not rendering correctly. Adjust padding/margins for a cleaner mobile experience.
• Delete unnecessary plugins and clean up WordPress setup
Identify and remove unused, outdated, or conflicting plugins. Optimize the theme by disabling unnecessary functions slowing down the site.
• Ensure contact forms, bestillingsmail, and inquiry functions work properly
Configure SMTP settings so that emails reliably reach the recipient. Ensure all forms route correctly and send a confirmation email to users. Add an auto-responder with a polite message after form submission.
• Implement Google Maps & Location Data
Add a Google Maps integration if relevant for gravestone delivery/installation. Ensure business details (phone, address, email) are up to date and correct.
• Google Analytics 4 & Custom Events Setup
Track page views, conversions, and form submissions. Implement event tracking for product views and clicks on QR codes.

Research and target Norwegian search terms with high intent. Create an SEO content plan (blog posts, landing pages). Monitor Google Search Console for indexation and ranking performance.

Launch a small PPC test campaign targeting gravestone-related searches. Optimize landing pages for better conversion rates.
