I need an experienced WordPress migration expert to properly export, clean, and import posts/articles from an old WordPress site built with Elementor into a new WordPress site using the tagDiv Newspaper theme.
The old site was built improperly:
- Elementor's editor was used for post body content instead of WP’s default block editor.
- Each post manually used the same Elementor template instead of a global post template.
I have been using the free version of WP All Export and WP All Import for this process, but I am open to alternative solutions if you have a better approach. The goal is to cleanly transfer posts while removing unnecessary code and formatting issues.
Issues That Need to Be Fixed
Inline Images Missing:
- Images inside the article body are not being carried over properly.
- The images are already uploaded to the new site’s media library (with correct file names).
Solution: Ensure inline images appear properly in the Post Content after import.
YouTube Video Widget Not Mapping Correctly:
- Elementor’s video widget links aren’t converting into WP’s default YouTube blocks.
Solution: Ensure YouTube links are properly placed inside WordPress’s native block editor.
Unnecessary Author Data Appearing in Post Content:
- The author name, author image, and bio are appearing inside the post body.
- The new site already has a proper Author Box connected to WordPress users.
Solution: Remove any hardcoded author data in post content.
Shortcodes and style Code Are Exported as Text in Posts:
- Elementor shortcodes and /style CSS blocks are appearing as plain text inside post content.
Solution: Strip all shortcodes and inline CSS before import.
Duplicate Titles and Excerpts in Body:
- Some posts have H1 and H2 (or two H2s) inside the content that match the post’s Title and Excerpt.
Solution: Remove these duplicate headings only if they match the post Title & Excerpt.
Tools Available for This Task:
While I have been using the free version of WP All Export and WP All Import, I am open to alternative solutions. I also have this:

If you have a better or more efficient way to handle this migration, I am open to suggestions.

A cleaned export file (CSV/XML) that:
- Maps inline images correctly inside the post body.
- Places YouTube video links correctly inside WP’s block editor.
- Removes all Elementor shortcodes & style tags.
- Removes all hardcoded author data.
- Removes duplicate H1/H2 that match the post’s Title & Excerpt.
- A working import process that ensures clean post migration, whether using WP All Import or another effective method.
Budget & Timeline:
Budget: Open to fair offers based on experience.
Timeline: ASAP (priority task).
Ideal Candidate:
