Job Description

Project Overview

We’re seeking an experienced technical SEO specialist to help us address a range of issues identified by a recent Screaming Frog SEO Spider audit on our WordPress website. Your role will be to action these specific tasks to improve our site’s technical health, security, and performance.

What We Need

Your main deliverable:

A technically optimised WordPress site, with all the issues from our Screaming Frog audit resolved. This includes (but is not limited to):

- Implementing SEO directives (nofollow, nosnippet, etc.)

- Addressing JavaScript content and resource issues

- Optimising for mobile and page speed (DOM size, layout shifts, image loading, etc.)

- Fixing security headers and mixed content issues

- Correcting response code errors and pagination

- Cleaning up URLs and improving validation scores

A full list of tasks will be provided upon project start.

Skills Required

- Advanced technical SEO expertise

- Deep experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, custom code)

- Familiarity with Screaming Frog SEO Spider and interpreting its reports

- Strong understanding of web performance, security headers, and mobile optimisation

- Ability to communicate clearly and document changes
