Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced WordPress & WooCommerce Full Site Editing (FSE) designer and developer who is fluent in German to further develop and optimize our online shop and rebuild the current Oxygen Builder stack in FSE (with Greenshift). The ideal candidate will shape our digital presence while embodying our business values - quality, transparency, and tradition.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and development of our WooCommerce online shop using Full Site Editing and Greenshift plugin and theme

- Optimization of the shopping experience for customers who value premium ostrich products

- Creation of appealing product pages that optimally showcase our premium offerings

- Integration of user-friendly features for product selection (variants, weight options)

- Continuous maintenance and support of the shop (WordPress updates, plugin updates)

- Technical troubleshooting and performance optimization (on demand)

- UX improvements based on user behavior and feedback

- Regular security updates and backups

Requirements

- Proven experience with WordPress and WooCommerce development and design (minimum 5 years)

- In-depth knowledge of Full Site Editing and block themes

- Familiarity with Figma for design concepts (ideally also with the Greenshift import plugin)

- Experience with Greenshift or similar FSE extensions

- Fluent German language skills (written and spoken)

- Understanding of e-commerce and conversion optimization

- Experience optimizing loading times and performance

- Understanding of the needs of a premium food online shop

Long-term Collaboration

We are looking for a long-term partnership with regular maintenance and support services:

- Weekly WordPress and plugin updates

- Technical support for issues that arise (maximum 24h response time)

- Regular UX improvements based on customer feedback

- Advice on new features and expansion options

- Support with seasonal adjustments to the shop
