For this role specifically, we are seeking individuals to help support high-impact, civic tech within the federal government.As an integral part of the program, the UI/UX Designer will help us understand our customers' business challenges and design a product vision that helps meet those needs. Our UI/UX Designer work with stakeholders, customers, and our agile development teams via user research, interviews, focus groups, and incorporates all their various and sometimes competing needs into a single user experience. They work with the development team to ensure that what the user eventually sees is something that will make their work easier. Client Requirements: applicants MUST BE US Citizens and be able to obtain Public Trust clearanceResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct design sprints, end-user research, usability testing, and reviews; analyze user data; and create intuitive UI/UX designs.Provide specialized expertise in the design and layout of graphical user interfaces, particularly, screen layouts and functionality for client-server applications (e.g., Microsoft Windows presentation screens).Conduct studies, testing and evaluation of screen prototypes for functionality, ease of use, efficiency, and accuracy.Has experience designing user experiences for new and existing web-based applications from concept to completion.Has experience designing workflows and experiences that are intuitive, effective, and accessible.Communicates ideas effectively through low and high fidelity mockups.Can design both a short term and long term UI/UX vision for products.'Thinks critically through complicated challenges to formulate solutions and collaborate with developers and analysts to implement approved designs.May mentor and supervise other team members.RequirementsBachelors Degree5+ years of experience Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, innovative, flexible, resilient, and receptive to critique and feedback.Well-organized and able to handle multiple assignments and ability to work effectively (independently and/or within teams) across functional areas in a collaborative environment.Must be able to get up-to-speed quickly on new projects and technologiesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsNice to Have SkillsPeople management experienceSalary InformationWe are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $85k to $125k annually.
