About the Role

Employee Navigator looks at security and IT a bit different than most companies. Data security is a top priority for us, and we want to add a skilled individual with IT management experience to help strengthen our security measures. We are looking for an IT Manager who balances incorporating security across all aspects of IT management, which will help our team work more efficiently by creating easy-to-use solutions. The best candidate for this job will enjoy solving problems, be eager to learn new things, and want to contribute positively to a small, effective team. We want team members who are curious about not just what went wrong when issues come up, but also why these problems happen.

Please note: This is an onsite role coming into our Bethesda office 5 days a week.

Here’s What you’ll do day-to-day:
• Ensure security across all aspects of IT management
• Lead and mentor the IT technical support team, fostering a culture of security and continuous improvement
• Implement inventory tracking and monitoring systems for our ever-growing and frequently replaced hardware
• Lead projects to upgrade existing systems and integrate new solutions that are user-friendly for employees
• Oversee IT support functions to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance security and efficiency
• Stay informed about the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to the IT strategy
• Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
• Oversee the build-out of new office spaces

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience managing or leading the IT function preferably in a software development environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and best practice security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to confidently communicate and collaborate directly with high-profile executives, including the CEO.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure portals, as we are a Microsoft-based organization.
