I have a web application built with Laravel, and after making some recent changes to the codebase, the REST API has stopped functioning correctly. I need someone with expertise in Laravel and API development to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Key Requirements:

Diagnose and identify the issue causing the REST API to malfunction.

Resolve the problem and ensure that the API endpoints are working as expected.

Test the functionality after the fix to confirm the issue is fully resolved.

Ensure that any changes made do not affect other parts of the application.
