Job Description
We are looking to modify an existing install of Magento 2. 4.5 CE installation on our own server in 2 parts.
1. Upgrade Magento 2.4.5 to 2.4.7 - Pxx.
2. Reconfigure the then upgraded Magento 2.4.7 to headless mode. The new frontend would be an implementation of React.js-based PWA frontend.
This document outlines our requirements and requests information regarding the timeline and resources needed for successful project execution.
Requirements
1. Magento 2.4.5 upgrade (ensure a roll back plan is in place at every major stage)
a. Update / Upgrade plugins-extensions
b. Change PHP version from 8.1.3 to 8.2
c. Upgrade to magento 2.4.6
d. Modify config to use Php 8.2
e. Update MariaDB
f. Check if the upgrade is successful. Troubleshoot if required.
g. Change PHP version from 8.2 to 8.3. Modify config to use Php 8.3
h. Check functionality. Troubleshoot if required.
i. Upgrade Magento 2.4.6 to 2.4.7 -Pxx
j. Check if the upgrade is successful. Troubleshoot if required.
k. Install and switch to open search from elasticsearch
2. Implement headless setup of Magneto 2.4.7 -Pxx
a. Migrate Magento 2.4.7 -Pxx installation from primary domain to subdomain.
b. Update admin url to sub.domain.tld/admin
c. Modify config and composer files to reflect changes.
d. Expose Magento's GraphQL apis to deep level, expose correct firewall ports for communication if needed. implement security, and check functionality.
e. Clear files and other items from the primary domain.
f. Install dependencies for React.js PWA.
g. Install Adobe's own PWA or Scandi PWA for testing.
Note: Current VPS server is LAMP stack implementation (Ubuntu server 22.04 LTS, Apache 2, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP 8.1.x, 8.2.x, 8.3.x). Admin control panel (Direct Admin) is installed for GUI interaction and ease.
