Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a MS Exchange Systems Administrator to support NAVSEA at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! We are seeking candidates to provide the US Navy with excellent technology customer service support and apply a broad base of IT knowledge and subject matter expertise to identify, recommend and properly apply solutions, implement products, and deploy baseline services.
As a MS Exchange systems administrator on our project, you’ll assist with the ongoing design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical sustainment of Navy production networks. You’ll coordinate work with in-house teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and Navy mission needs. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of Naval mission operations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• 4+ years of Hand-On experience operating and maintaining multiple Microsoft Exchange Servers
• 3+ years of Hand-On experience implementing DoD STIGS
• 3+ years of experience with Windows Server 2016/18/22, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows DNS, Windows Server Update Services, Windows patching or vulnerability remediation, VMware, or ESXi,
• Active Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Security+ or IAT Level II Certification
• Operating Environment Certification (ie Microsoft, VMware cert)
Desired Education and Experience:
• 1+ years of experience applying security patches to systems, including security vulnerability reporting
• Knowledge of FISMA, DoD, and DoN information security doctrine (ie RMF)
• Knowledge of best practices regarding requirements management, development, design, and testing, and system and software architecture practices, tools, and methodologies
