.NET Software Team Lead

As a .NET Software Team Lead at GDIT, you will lead the development of cutting-edge applications that help advance the mission of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Your work will involve fully immersing yourself in our client's domain to deliver simple solutions for their complex needs.

You will be working closely with our team to ensure the quality and reliability of the software solutions we deliver to enable our client's mission of seeking fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support a development team's activities for writing clean, maintainable, testable, and extensible code.
• Contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, and Testing).
• Collaborate with the team on Agile activities, including estimation, iterative planning, and retrospectives.
• Manage code and other artifacts using GitHub or other code repositories.
Requirements:
• Education: BS or equivalent degree in a technical field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience with 2 or more in a lead role. 5+ years .NET Full-Stack Software Developer experience with Microsoft Technology Stacks.
• Technical Skills: Minimum of five years of experience using Microsoft's .NET platform including C# and ASP.NET; JavaScript; Azure DevOps (formerly Team Foundation Server); Continuous Integration (CI); Automated testing (e.g. unit testing); experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain an NIH Public Trust.
• Skills and Abilities: Able to work with development teams to work across the life-cycle so teams can consistently deliver high-quality software. Ability to think systemically about how the software is built to guide those systems to be most effective.
• Location: Hybrid (telework/Rockville customer location).

Experience with C# with Windows Forms, C++, and Objective C; Experience with React and Vue; Experience with Git; Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
