We are seeking a talented and experienced Node.js Developer with React expertise to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Build responsive and interactive user interfaces with React.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Implement and adhere to best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies.
• Debug, test, and resolve software issues.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software development.

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience with Node.js and React development.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with modern frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with GraphQL.

Salary Transparency

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $100000- $130000/yearly.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
