About This Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Python Programming Expert to join our team at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Security Operations Center (SOC). As a key member of our operations enhancement team, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining scripts/code used for automating workflows, processes, and tasks within the Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform in support of the CBP SOC.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Python code to automate workflows and processes within the SOAR platform.
• Collaborate with System Administrators, Engineers, and ISSOs to integrate SOAR platform with other security tools and APIs.
• Design and implement efficient and reusable Python code to improve the overall performance of the SOAR platform.
• Review, debug, and resolve technical issues throughout all stages of SDLC.
• Assist with process development and process improvement for Security Operations to include creation/modification of SOPs, Playbooks, and Work instructions.
