Tradefull is building the next generation of e-commerce SaaS platforms using Laravel to provide the best user experience for our end users along with expanding functionality of the Tradefull platform while accounting for scalability and future opportunities. In this role you can look forward to playing a significant role in the growth and development of the Tradefull platform. You will be developing new features and updating the current platform to deliver an enterprise-class SaaS experience, participating in design and architecture meetings to ensure the highest quality product, learning and becoming an expert in new technologies to continue driving Tradefull to be a best-in-class product.

What You’ll Accomplish

Design and develop highly scalable enterprise-class components for the Tradefull SaaS platform

Participate in architecture meetings to update and create best practices

Become a subject matter expert for one of the core features of Tradefull

Collaborate with executives, management, and partners to support development needs

Write code and automated testing for the functionality that you are building

Mentor new developers to ensure quality and alignment with Tradefull principles

Review merge requests to provide consistent design and implementation of code changes

Research and implement new technology and features to drive the organization forward

Scope new feature requests from our teams and partners

Establish a sense of ownership in the code that you deploy

Our Ideal Senior Backend Engineer has
• 5+ years of experience in a Backend Engineer or similar role
• Bachelors (Computer Science, Information Systems, other quantitative fields) - Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will also be considered
• Experience with:
• PHP
• Laravel or other MVC Framework
• Interacting with REST APIs (or GraphQL)
• Experience with OMS/WMS Systems
• Agile / Scrum (Jira)
• Object Oriented Programming
• Working knowledge with the following is a plus
• Framework: Vue.js (or React.js / Angular)
• Database design and development
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts
• Successful history developing enterprise-grade applications that can handle large amounts of data
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, processes, and information flow
• Leadership qualities to mentor junior team members
