Job Description
I'm looking for a talented designer to create a WordPress website for a new online philosophy school. The site needs to effectively showcase our courses and workshops while being optimized for search engines to help potential students discover our offerings. The ideal candidate will have experience designing educational websites with a clean, modern aesthetic and a strong understanding of SEO best practices, including site speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and keyword-friendly structuring.
IMPORTANT: I'm leaning toward WordPress as the platform but am ****open to other suggestions,**** including custom-built options—as long as the website remains easy to update (e.g., adding new course pages without needing technical expertise).
Let me know if you have experience with either of the following:
--Building websites for live courses/webinars
--Creating store pages for asynchronous courses
Right now, the courses are live, but if you also have experience integrating a learning management system (LMS), that’s a plus, as we may expand into self-paced courses in the future.
Would love to see examples of past work, especially sites designed for education, online learning, or thought leadership.
