About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Part-Time WordPress Engineer who has an in-depth understanding of WordPress core and can write custom code to build highly customized solutions. This role is for someone who can tackle complex problems, optimize performance, and extend WordPress functionalities without relying on drag-and-drop builders like Elementor or Gutenberg.

What You’ll Do:
• Write custom code to extend WordPress core functionalities securely and efficiently.
• Optimize website performance and scalability through clean, maintainable code.
• Integrate third-party APIs and customize backend functionalities for complex requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues in existing WordPress installations.
• Collaborate with the team to implement technical solutions.

What We’re Looking For:
• Professional Experience: Minimum 5+ years of advanced WordPress development experience.
• Technical Expertise:
• Expert-level knowledge of WordPress core, custom post types, hooks, and filters.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with REST APIs and custom integrations.
• Advanced performance optimization and security hardening skills.
• Self-Driven and Responsible: Able to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality solutions without micromanagement.
