Job Summary:

MUST BE PROFICIENT IN WORDPRESS DEVELOPMENT OR DO NOT APPLY

We are seeking a highly skilled web developer with expertise in server configuration, cPanel, WHM, and WordPress website development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our server infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our hosting environments, and developing and maintaining WordPress websites to meet our organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities

Server Configuration and Management:
• Configure, maintain, and optimize servers to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues related to server hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Perform regular backups, security updates, and patches to maintain system integrity and security.

cPanel and WHM Administration:
• Manage cPanel and WHM for hosting accounts, including account creation, resource allocation, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain security protocols within cPanel/WHM environments to safeguard against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
• Provide support to users for issues related to cPanel and WHM, including email configuration, DNS management, and file transfers.

WordPress Website Development:
• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites according to client and organizational requirements.
• Implement responsive design, plugins, themes, and other functionalities to enhance user experience and website performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress, including plugin conflicts, theme customization, and performance optimization.

Technical Support:
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and clients as needed.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in server configuration and management, particularly with Linux-based servers.
• Strong knowledge of cPanel and WHM, including experience in managing multiple hosting accounts.
• Expertise in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.
• Understanding of web security best practices, including SSL certificates, firewalls, and malware prevention.
• Familiarity with DNS, email services, and database management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Compensation Package:
• 1099 contract

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday
• On call

Experience:
• CSS: 3 years (Required)
• Wordpress: 3 years (Required)
